Is there anything finer than curb stomping the Packers at Lamborghini Field? Not really, but the experience is even better when Dan Miller and Jim Brandstatter are on the call with the Lions Radio Network. Now, it just so happened that in the pregame coverage, Brandy interviewed Marvin Jones for the player spotlight before “Monday Night Football”:
What a fortuitous decision to feature the big play receiver:

The Matthew Stafford to Marvin Jones connection was money in the first half, testing the Packers deep with a chain mover on third-and-10 and a free play thanks to Clay Matthews jumping offside. But the true payoff in the deep passing game early was a fantastic throw dropped in from above along the right edge of the end zone:
Jim Brandstatter asked who needs the red zone when you can just throw it deep, but the Lions absolutely had to commit to establishing the run. Inside the ten? Check. Ameer Abdullah actually on the field? Check. Defense expecting the predictable call? You bet.
Ameer Abdullah with a red zone carry. Wonder if any fans wanted to see that this week?

ESTABLISH IT:
Never mind what happened in the second half with Ameer Abdullah and ball security, right? Moving on to the final quarter, a Green Bay touchdown narrowed the lead to 20-10, but once again Marvin Jones made his presence felt:
Someone please make a sign for the home finale in December:
