On this week’s injury report, Matthew Stafford was listed as “Questionable” due to injuring his throwing hand against the Baltimore Ravens last week, but worry not, as he has officially been declared ACTIVE for Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay.
The biggest news of the day, though, is about the Lions’ starting running back, Ameer Abdullah. According to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press, the coaching staff does not appear to be happy with Abdullah’s performance and it appears for now that he may have been officially demoted and will not play at all against the Buccaneers.
The Lions had a bevy of other notable starters also given the “Questionable” tag on the injury report. Ameer Abdullah, Rick Wagner and Jamal Agnew are all INACTIVE, while T.J. Lang, Travis Swanson, Ezekiel Ansah, Cornelius Washington and Sam Martin are ACTIVE for Sunday’s matchup.
With Rick Wagner OUT, the Lions will likely start Brian Mihalik at right tackle in his absence.
