The team announced their final game designation for Saturday’s contest and starting center Travis Swanson, along with right tackle Rick Wagner, were declared out. Swanson is still in concussion protocol after experiencing post-game symptoms following the Buccaneers game. This is the second consecutive game missed for Rick Wagner, who had to be carted off the field in Baltimore after suffering an ankle injury.
The good news is that T.J. Lang returned to practice and, according to Dave Birkett, he is expected to try and play. Additionally, left tackle Taylor Decker was a full participant on Thursday despite popping up on the injury report earlier in the week with a shoulder issue. He is not even listed as questionable for Saturday’s game.
Two Lions player appear ready to make their returns this week. Ameer Abdullah and Jamal Agnew were not given game designations, meaning they should play against the Bears. Abdullah has missed the past two games with a neck injury, while Agnew hasn’t played since Week 11 due to a knee issue.
