Both the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears offenses got off to a slow start, as the teams went into the second quarter with a score of just 3-0 Lions.
Detroit would add a field goal later, but neither team seemed to be moving the ball all that consistently.
Then on a third-and-18 in the second quarter, Matthew Stafford uncorked his arm and Marvin Jones Jr. did the rest.

Kudos to Stafford for buying some extra time and just letting it loose. Even if that ball was intercepted, it essentially would have acted as a pretty decent punt.
But the real star of this play is Marvin Jones Jr., who elevates at the perfect time and steals an interception from Bears safety Eddie Jackson.
Let’s watch that one again.
MATTHEW STAFFORD.

Look at just how high Jones gets:
Jones is continuing to have a huge year, especially with the deep ball. This was his 18th catch of 20+ yards on the season (tied for third).
The Lions would cash in off the big play three plays later and take a 13-0 lead.
