This is it. Gameday. We’ve waited all week for this. Our new favorite team on primetime television. The Detroit Buccaneers try to finish the season strong against their division rival Atlanta Falcons.
Oh, what’s that? You aren’t a Buccaneers fan? Wrong. You absolutely are. As mentioned earlier in the day, the Detroit Lions would benefit from a Buccaneers win in every single one of their remaining games.
And none of those games are more important than tonight. Right now the Lions’ playoff odds sit around 21 percent according to FiveThirtyEight.com. If the Buccaneers were to pick up a huge upset over the Falcons on Monday night, the Lions’ playoff odds shoot to 37 percent. If the Bucs lose, the Lions are back down to 13 percent. For the mathematically challenged, that’s a 24 percent swing.
So come watch the game with us. Send all of your positive vibes to Jameis Winston and pray that Tampa has some sort of plan to slow down Julio Jones. Hopefully by the end of the night we’ll all be eating Ws along with Winston and company.
