The Detroit Lions’ season draws nearer to its close on Sunday. After a year of plenty of up and downs, Detroit ends its regular season with two teams out of the playoff race.
First up, the 5-9 Cincinnati Bengals. The Lions have lost four of its past five games against the Bengals, but they haven’t played each other in four years. A lot has changed since the 2013 season.
After reaching nine losses already, the Bengals have guaranteed that they will finish with a losing record for the second season in a row. The Lions, on the other hand, have reached eight wins, ensuring they’ll finish with a non-losing record in back-to-back season for the first time since 2000.
Here at Pride of Detroit, we’re pretty confident that the trends of both teams will continue through Sunday.
Alex Reno (11-3): 34-10 Lions
Chris Perfett (10-4): 35-29 Lions
Ryan Mathews (10-4): 31-13 Lions
Jeremy Reisman (9-5): 26-17 Lions
Kyle Yost (9-5): 24-20 Lions
Jerry Mallory (8-5): 26-13 Lions
Mike Payton (8-6): 28-14 Lions
Justin Simon (8-6): 34-10 Lions
Kent Lee Platte (8-6): 38-9 Lions
Andrew Kato (7-5): No pick
All nine staffers that submitted pick [/sends a stink-eyed look to Andrew] are picking the Lions to win over the Bengals. Interestingly enough, seven of those nine picks have Detroit winning by multiple scores.
Now it’s time for you to submit your picks. Select the winner in the poll below and be sure to give you score prediction in the comment section below. If you’re the commenter with the closest score prediction, you’ll get a shoutout in our next On Paper preview.
