It’s Christmas, and whether you celebrate the holiday or not, it’s a cultural phenomenon here in America. I’ve personally already gone through my Christmas/Hanukkah celebration, so today is just another day in the life of Jeremy.
Anyways, this is usually the part where I ask you how you feel after Sunday’s game. I’m not going to do that today. I know the answer. A bunch of you would say “a lot worse” because the Lions’ season is over and they actually got some of the help they needed to make a realistic shot at the playoffs next week, but it was all for naught.
A lot of you would say that you feel much better because Jim Caldwell is much more likely to get fired after Sunday’s loss to the Bengals. I, personally, don’t take pleasure in someone losing their job, even if it means there’s a chance my team gets a few more wins down the line. I know, I’m a softie.
It’s not that I think Caldwell deserves to keep his job, it’s that I would have rather seen him succeed in Detroit, and I get the feeling some didn’t think that could ever happen, and I know a small portion of fans didn’t even want to see it happen.
Anyways, it’s Christmas Day and while we’ll have some content throughout the day—and you should read it—I’d rather you all stayed with your families and/or loved ones to take a few moments away from all the negativity that 2017 brought.
But if you’re so inclined, here’s our daily Monday poll for you sticklers:
