This is it. The last opportunity to embarrass ourselves for the 2017 Detroit Lions season. Last week, we all certainly accomplished that when the entire Pride of Detroit staff chose the Lions to down the Bengals in what looked to be a gimme game.
Of course, Cincinnati had other plans and now we’re here before you with a somewhat meaningless Week 17 game and a melancholy fanbase.
But we here at Pride of Detroit take our jobs very seriously, and we made a promise to give you 16 game predictions this year. So here are our very serious Week 17 picks:
Alex Reno (11-4): 21-20 Lions
Chris Perfett (10-5): 22-22 tie
Ryan Mathews (10-5): 35-10 Lions
Jeremy Reisman (9-6): 27-17 Lions
Kyle Yost (9-6): 27-21 Lions
Jerry Mallory (8-6): 24-26 Lions
Mike Payton (8-7): 42-14 Lions
Justin Simon (8-7): 20-13 Lions
Kent Lee Platte (8-7): 3-2 Packers
Andrew Kato (7-5): 34-10 Lions
I pre-congratulations to Alex Reno for finishing the year with the best pick’em record on the staff. Of course, Chris still has a chance to catch him, but something tells me he torpedoed his chances with a tie prediction. That being said, if the two teams do tie, Chris is legally obligated to write all of our previews in 2018.
Now it’s time for you to choose. Pick the winner in the poll below and leave your score prediction in the comment section below. The closest score prediction will be honored in On Paper: Super Bowl edition.
