Super Bowl week gives the Detroit media an opportunity to speak to people across the NFL and hear their opinion on the Detroit Lions. Here is a smattering of those opinions:
- Patriots owner Robert Kraft only had glowing things to say about his former employee and current Lions general manager Bob Quinn:
Patriots owner Robert Kraft at SB on Lions GM Bob Quinn: "Things are only going to get better there. You have a good man."
— Tim Twentyman (@ttwentyman) January 31, 2017
- Dwight Freeney, who played under Jim Caldwell back with the Colts, said the Lions have the right coach in place.
- Troy Aikman thinks very highly of Lions offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter:
Troy Aikman says Jim Bob Cooter means as much to Stafford as Kyle Shanahan has meant to Matt Ryan.

- However, it wasn’t all positives coming from “Radio Row” at the Super Bowl. Terry Bradshaw said some very critical things of Lions tight end Eric Ebron:
Terry Bradshaw ripped Eric Ebron. "Did you see the playoff game?... Hit you right between the numbers, and you drop that? We cant have that"

- Lions media also got a chance to catch up with former head official Mike Pereira to ask him about the ongoing conspiracy theory surrounding the Lions:
Mike Pereira to fans - Lions fans - who think officials are out to get him: "Get in line"
— Dave Birkett (@davebirkett) January 31, 2017
To be fair, Pereira was a bit sympathetic to the plight of the Lions fan:
Mike Periera on Lions fans griping about bad calls: It's tough enough being a Lions fan
— Kyle Meinke (@kmeinke) January 31, 2017
- Shifting away from Super Bowl week, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press discovered something interesting. In the 1990s, the Lions once had three current NFL GMs on their staff.
- Lions cornerback Ian Wells looks to be recovering nicely from his surgery. He spent all of his 2016 rookie season on IR:
