Saturday open thread: Would you be interested in a Pride Of Detroit meetup?

Last night, a few of the Pride Of Detroit staff met up in Grand Rapids to take in a Grand Rapids Griffins game and a night of refreshments. It was a great night with some good friend and tasty, cheap beverages.

This got us thinking. Why not include you all in the festivities? We have a pretty rad community of Detroit Lions fans here that seems to get along most of the time. Why not put the screen names aside and meet each other in real life? So today’s Question of the Day is:

Who you be interested in attending a Pride Of Detroit meetup sometime?

My answer: Of course. One of my favorite things about Pride Of Detroit is the civil discourse among our fans. We somehow have managed to cultivate a respectable comment section—a nearly impossible feat in today’s internet culture. So I’m sure we have some pretty cool real-life people that I’d like to meet.

Although I’m currently living in Los Angeles, there’s a chance that I find myself in Detroit more often this year, and I’d love to meet some new, local people. Also, we’re still thinking about doing a live PODcast at some point, which I think would be a lot of fun.
