Check out these fan-designed Detroit Lions jerseys

They aren’t official, but they’re pretty sleek.

The Detroit Lions will be unveiling four new uniforms on April 13. According to a statement from team president Rod Wood, the uniforms will no longer feature the color black and will focus predominantly the classic colors of Honolulu blue and silver.

With the unveiling still over a month away, all we can do is speculate what the jerseys may look like. Will they go with more of a throwback look? Will one of the new jerseys be a brand new Color Rush style and, hopefully, one much better than last year’s awful black jerseys?

One fan took the speculation in his own hands and designed some pretty flashy new uniforms. Check it out:

Those home jersey is perfect, in my opinion. The silver numbers are a nice reference to the Lions’ best throwback jerseys. In fact, the whole design has a throwback feeling to it while remaining somewhat modern with the pants stripe and the matte helmet.

I have some issues with the away jersey: mainly the color of the pants. It’s not doesn’t really resemble Honolulu blue at all and makes the team look at little too Titans-ey. Still, it’s an eye-popping design, and I wouldn’t completely hate it.

Brandon Moore, the designer behind these mock-ups, also decided to try his hand at an all-silver Color Rush jersey:

I’m not as big of a fan of this one, but that’s just because I think Color Rush jersey are all almost inherently ugly. The one color scheme just doesn’t work for me.

What do you think of the jerseys? Sound off in the comments.
