Tyrunn Walker spent his last two seasons as the Detroit Lions starting defensive tackle. He will not be joining the Lions for a third. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Walker has signed with the Los Angeles Rams:
Rams signed former Lions and Saints DT Tyrunn Walker, per source.

Walker had a very promising start to his career in Detroit back in 2015. But in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks, Walker suffered a brutal leg injury on a dirty play and was immediately placed on injured reserve.
Hopes were high that Walker would rebound in 2016 after a full offseason to heal, but it just didn’t happen. Though Walker began the season as one of Detroit’s starting tackles, by Week 9 he had been dethroned. In fact, his play had dropped to such a low level that he was a healthy inactive in Week 11 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He would finish the season with just 26 tackles and zero sacks in 15 games.
After the Lions signed both Akeem Spence and Jordan Hill earlier in free agency, it became clear the Lions were moving on from Walker. We wish Walker the best in his new Los Angeles home.
