2017 NFL mock draft: Denver Broncos select Garett Bolles

The Broncos add an offensive lineman with the 20th overall pick.

NCAA Football: Utah at Colorado Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

With the 20th pick in the Pride Of Detroit Community Mock Draft, the Denver Broncos have selected offensive tackle Garett Bolles from the University of Utah. Mr. Zebra John Elway is the acting general manager for the Broncos. Below is his explanation for the pick.

“I, John Elway, am drafting Garett Bolles to be left tackle for my team, the Denver Broncos. I, John Elway, know that Garett Bolles is raw, having played just one year in Division I at Utah. And he is 25 years old. But he looked good doing it. More importantly to me, John Elway, he possesses elite athleticism and measurables. He had the second-best 40 time for linemen at the NFL Combine, the best broad jump for linemen, the best three-cone for linemen, the second-best shuttle for linemen and an RAS of 8.69. Garett Bolles is 6-foot-5 and 300 pounds, with 34'' arms, passing the Riley Reiff test. With such potential, I, John Elway, am comfortable taking the risk of drafting him so high.

The offensive line was the downfall of my team, the Denver Broncos, last season. I, John Elway, feel that improvement is mandatory. In order to protect Paxton Lynch, I, John Elway, must find him a left tackle. The Denver Broncos, my team, are proud to be drafting Garett Bolles.

Sincerely,

John Elway”
