It has been two months since the Detroit Lions first announced they would be unveiling four new uniforms this offseason, and the day is finally upon us. Thursday evening the Lions will pull back the curtains on the highly-anticipated jerseys in front of a crowd of eager season ticket holders.
A few weeks ago, the Lions may have leaked a picture of the new uniforms, giving fans an idea of what the new jerseys may look like. However, the picture isn’t too clear and team president Rod Wood would not confirm if those leaks were accurate.
Regardless, there are a lot of unknowns that will be cleared up today. So today’s Question of the Day is:
What is one thing you’d like to see out of today’s uniform release?
My answer: A decent throwback jersey that will hopefully be worn on Thanksgiving. This has, and always will be, my favorite iteration of any Lions uniform. The simplicity of the jersey combined with the all-silver helmet and pants not only works, but it triggers nostalgia of Thanksgiving classics from the 90s. Even if the team doesn’t adopt these exact throwbacks, I really hope they go with an all-silver helmet, because I absolutely love that look.
Your turn.
