The Oakland Raiders are on the verge of adding a huge piece to their team. According to reports, Marshawn Lynch has agreed to terms with the team. Now the Raiders just need to agree to trade terms with the Seattle Seahawks and they will have successfully pulled Beast Mode out of retirement.
But before that happens, the Raiders are on the clock in our Pride Of Detroit Community Mock Draft. Here to make the pick for the Raiders is POD commenter Tufflynx. With the 24th overall pick, the Raiders select linebacker Zach Cunningham out of Vanderbilt. Here is the reasoning for the pick:
“The Raiders have a big need for an inside linebacker. Zach Cunningham fills that bill very nicely. He is very instinctive and his quick reads allow him to consistently get in on the tackle. There have been some concerns about his arm tackling, but I don't think that is as bad as many claim. Cunningham has very long arms. When teamed with his fast reactions, that allows him get his hands on a lot of guys that other linebackers would just miss entirely. I have seen plenty of video of Cunningham sticking his head into a lead blocker to stuff up a hole. I believe that Cunningham will be a Pro Bowl level linebacker for the Raiders for years to come.”
