Monday open thread: What do you want to see from the Lions 2017 schedule?

What’s one thing you’d like out of the Lions 2017 schedule?

NFL: Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

Though the NFL has yet to announce it, the 2017 schedule is expected to be released this Thursday, according to Detroit Lions president Rod Wood. Though we already know each team’s opponents for next season, there are plenty of things still unknown, including the primetime game schedule.

Wood has already expressed his desire to have the Lions start the year with a significant amount of games on the road. Specifically, he wants Detroit to spend three of its first four games at home, something the NFL schedule hasn’t awarded the Lions with since 1990.

However, many Lions fans don’t share that desire. We asked Lions fans if they’d rather have a bulk of home games at the front or at the back of the schedule, and only 17 percent said they’d rather have a group of home games to start the season.

So today’s Question of the Day is:

What would you like to see from the Lions’ 2017 schedule?

My answer: There is really only one major concern I have for the Lions’ schedule, and it is the same every year. I want to know when their two outdoor divisional road games are scheduled, and I hope it is in the first two months of the season. Winning at Lambeau and Soldier Field is hard enough, but to play on either field in December is just adding a degree of difficulty I’d rather not see the Lions face. Primetime games are nice, but give me a trip to Lambeau in September over a Monday night contest any year.

Your turn.
