Though the 2017 NFL schedule is not set to be announced until tonight, some details have apparently surfaced ahead of the official release. On Thursday afternoon, Tom Hanslin tweeted a picture of an alleged New York Giants schedule for 2017. While this is still a just a rumor, there is a history of the Giants’ schedules being released ahead of time. Shown for the Week 2 matchup is a date with the Detroit Lions, which is designated for “Monday Night Football.”

An early-season prime time matchup would not being anything new for these squads. In 2014, the Lions hosted the Giants on “Monday Night Football” to open up the season and dominated the visitors thoroughly, routing New York 35-14. However, the Lions will be the ones looking for revenge following last year’s tough 17-6 defeat during Week 15 in New Jersey.
Again, this matchup is still a rumor at this time. Check back at Pride Of Detroit for the official schedule announcement late Thursday evening.
