NFL draft results: Lions trade down in 3rd round, pick up 4th rounder from Patriots

The Lions have swung a trade on draft day!

For the first time under general manager Bob Quinn, the Detroit Lions have swung a trade on draft day. The Lions traded down from the 85th pick in the draft to the 96th pick with the New England Patriots. The Patriots selected OT Antonio Garcia with the pick.

The Lions also picked up the Patriots’ fourth round pick, per Field Yates:

Now we’ll have to wait for the Lions to make their third-round selection.

UPDATE: The Lions have taken WR Kenny Golladay with the 96th overall pick.
