Out of all nine draft picks, which was your favorite?

Now that the 2017 NFL Draft is over and the Detroit Lions have handed in all nine of their cards, it’s time for some hardcore analysis. Over the next few weeks, we’re going to be breaking down each player added over the weekend, including the handful of undrafted free agents that were given contracts—you can keep track of all the UDFA signings here.

But before we get in-depth on all of these picks, let’s share our initial reactions to the Lions’ draft. We’ve already seen fans give Detroit around a “B” grade for the entire draft class, but let’s look at the picks individually. Today’s Question of the Day is:

Which of the nine Lions draft picks was your favorite?

My answer: Teez Tabor. I know a lot of people didn’t like this pick at all, but I very quickly warmed to it. Tabor may not have the greatest character, and the NFL Combine scores really stick out like a sore thumb, but when game tape is so overwhelmingly positive, you have to wonder whether Tabor is telling the truth about his hamstring limiting his speed scores.

If he’s is indeed nursing a sore hamstring and will be fully healthy by the time training camp rolls around, the Lions may have themselves one of the better one-two punches at cornerback in the league. And when you combine this pick with fifth-round choice Jamal Agnew, suddenly cornerback looks like one of the deepest positions on the team.

Basically, in a draft fully of mild, safe picks, Tabor sticks out as an exciting, but risky choice. I like it.
