The Arizona Cardinals have the 13th pick in the Pride Of Detroit Community Mock Draft. The acting general manager for the Cardinals is Ballinhard04. With the Cardinals’ pick, Ballinhard04 has selected cornerback Marlon Humphrey out of Alabama. Below is the rationale for the pick:

Looking at their players they lost to free agency on defense Calais Campbell, Kevin Minter, D.J. Swearinger, Marcus Cooper, Alex Okafor, Earl Watford and Tony Jefferson. That's four of their top five tacklers lost in one offseason. It's time to rebuild the defense starting with Marlon Humphrey. I believe he is the best corner at this spot this draft has to offer.

He rated 22nd out of 183 corners in run defense. He's light on his feet being able to keep up with fast receivers step by step, and he's tough, willing to make big hits when possible. And he's a good playmaker on special teams which makes him a more complete player. He's had problems finding deep ball, but that's something that can be worked on.

Not to mention for the last five games of the season including the playoffs, he allowed just 80 yards over those games combined, and just 28 yards in the last two playoff games. That sounds like a guy the will go great in a defense with Jarvis Jones, Antoine Bethea, Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu.

I thought about going offense with both Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald being so close to retirement with WR Mike Williams or QB Deshaun Watson.
