- Tuesday marks the deadline for any free agency moves that would affect the formula for compensatory picks in the 2018 NFL Draft. Considering how active the Detroit Lions were in free agency, it should come as no surprise that they are not projected to receive any compensatory picks for the second year in a row.
- Nevin Lawson has been vilified by many fans, but he actually measures up quite nicely compared to the rest of his draft class:

- Zac Snyder of Detroit Jock City dispels the notion that Lions rookie linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin is too undersized for the NFL.
- Nate Burleson, fresh off the announcement of his hiring at CBS, spoke very highly of the Lions and their offseason on Monday. “If I could grade them (on the draft), I’d give them a B, B-plus,” Burleson said.

- Justin Rogers of the Detroit News believes the chances of Anquan Boldin returning to Detroit are slim.
