Lions notes: Sam Martin is a top 3 punter... of all time

  • Sam Martin may have yet to earn himself a Pro Bowl nod, but he is certainly making his impact in the NFL record books. In his four-year career, he is averaging 46.9 yards per punt, which is good for third-best in NFL history:

He is tied with current Rams punter (and three-time Pro Bowler) Johnny Hekker and just slightly below Thomas Morstead (47.0) and Shane Lechler (47.5).
