PODcast: Taylor Decker injury, Packers preview feat. Tex Western

PODcast was delayed because of surgery news.

NFL: Preseason-Detroit Lions at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

In the past, we’d put out a PODcast on Tuesday, news would break a couple hours later and we’d be screwed for about a week. Thankfully we dragged our feet producing this one, which mean when news came out that Taylor Decker had undergone shoulder surgery, we were right and ready to go.

A little tweaking and a little elbow grease, and PODcast is here a day late. It is, however, worth it. We also got to talk to Tex Western of Acme Packing Co., who talked about what the Green Bay Packers did this offseason. Get to know your enemy.

Download and subscribe to the PODcast on iTunes, or check us out on Stitcher.

This week on the PODcast

  • Our re-recorded first segment discusses the breaking news regarding Taylor Decker. He’s underwent surgery and the immediate future for the Lions has big questions.
  • Who can replace Decker right now? Jeremy and Ryan break down the leading names.
  • The remainder of our Monday show: Jeremy Maclin released by the Chiefs is tempting, but can the Lions offer a sweet enough deal or even need him? Kind of odd thinking about it now after the Decker news.
  • Joseph Fauria attempts his comeback.
  • Tex joins us to talk about the Packers draft and, surprisingly, free agency acquisitions.
  • Mailbag discusses Wonder Woman, football broadcasters, Ryan’s rapper LISTCAST and the worst types of plants.
