We all have our favorite Detroit Lions player on the field. Matthew Stafford has endeared himself to the fanbase with his toughness, competitiveness and courage ever since the epic Cleveland Browns game in his rookie year. Darius Slay’s on-field confidence is entertaining and infectious. Golden Tate does some things with his feet that no receiver in this league can do.

But what about off the field? The Lions have some characters on the team, and that comes out in many ways off the field. Some players are great follows on social media, Others display their personality through charitable endeavors. So today’s Question of the Day is:

Who is your favorite Detroit Lions player off the field?

My answer: Of course, my answer four months ago was DeAndre Levy, but since he’s no longer a Detroit Lion, I’ll have to go somewhere else for my answer. I’m going to go with Ezekiel Ansah. He’s pretty active on social media, and seems like a genuinely nice guy. He once broadcasted live from a Tigers game via Instagram for literally 5 innings or so, and I watched the entire thing because his personality is so infectious.

He also shares some delicious looking meals, clearly inspired by his Ghanaian upbringing, on Snapchat. He’s met some famous people along the way, too.

And he had a pre-screening of my favorite movie of the summer, “Baby Driver.”

Not to mention, he also launched the Ezekiel Ansah Foundation this year, to help support the youth of his home country.

Your turn.
