Saturday open thread: Which Lions player are you most excited to see vs. Colts?

Who will you be watching the closest on Sunday?

NFL: Detroit Lions at Indianapolis Colts Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

We are around 24 hours from Detroit Lions football. Just typing those words makes me want to throw on my Jarrad Davis jersey, whip up Chris Lemieux’s Honolulu Blue Kool-Aid recipe and do one of those series of backflips that people in better shape than me can do.

Just the return of football is enough to get me excited—even if it’s only for a preseason game—but the opportunity to see some of these players in a Lions jersey for the first time has got me all aflutter.

So today’s Question of the Day is:

Which Lions player are you most excited to see in Sunday’s preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts?

My answer: While I’m certainly excited to see some of the new Lions take action on Sunday, I’m actually most eager to see a player that has been on the Lions for two years now: Ameer Abdullah.

Reports out of camp have been extremely high on Abdullah, and there may not be a more exciting player on the roster. If Abdullah can show even half of the potential he showed in six quarter last year, this Lions offense could be in for an extremely fun 2017 season.

We may not see a lot of Abdullah against the Colts, but if I can even get one big run from Abdullah on Sunday, I won’t be able to control my excitement for the season.

Your turn.
