Kerry Hyder: ‘I will be back better than ever’

Kerry Hyder is not giving up.

NFL: Detroit Lions at Indianapolis Colts Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

In light of the devastating news that his season is essentially over before it started, Kerry Hyder posted his thoughts on Instagram Monday afternoon.

Here’s how the full captions reads:

There is no quit in my body! I truly believe God has a plan for me and I will be back better than ever. I am blessed beyond measure and I know this is not setback . It is an opportunity for me to show my strength that God has put in me . All things are possible through him. Thank you to all the friends and family for support . To lions nation, I promise I will be back better than ever . Thank you all!! #onepride #lionsnation

According to a report for Ian Rapoport, Hyder will undergo season-ending surgery this week on his left Achilles after injuring it during Sunday’s preseason contest with the Indianapolis Colts. Hyder is on the final year of his contract, but will become an exclusive rights free agent next year.

We wish Hyder the best in recovery and we hope to see you out there in a Detroit Lions jersey again soon.
