Lions notes: Jim Caldwell tied for the longest odds to win Coach of the Year award

Despite getting to the playoffs twice in three years, Jim Caldwell is still considered a low-tier coach.

Betting site Bovada.lv released their latest odds for 2017 NFL Coach of the Year. Detroit Lions head coach Jim Caldwell is tied for the longest odds with just 50/1 odds to win the postseason award:

ESPN’s Michael Rothstein provided an update on Zach Zenner and his off-the-field work as a medical researcher. Apparently, Zenner is close to being a published researcher for a study relating to diabetes.

The Charlottesville protests were a hot topic at Detroit Lions camp on Wednesday. Ameer Abdullah, Golden Tate and Jim Caldwell all shared their thoughts after practice. Caldwell’s comments are below:

Brandon Copeland reportedly tore his pectoral muscle, and is apparently getting some inspiration from Quandre Diggs, who suffered the same injury last season:
