We’re getting closer and closer to the regular season. Saturday night, the Detroit Lions will host the New York Jets for the second of four preseason games.

It will be the first time home fans will get to see the 2017 Lions compete against another team. They’ll also be treated to the first full Ford Field experience under the new $100 million renovations.

For the Lions themselves, they’ll likely want to see improvement from last week. The first-team offense was only out there for one series, but it ended with a Matthew Stafford interception. The defense played better, but could certainly offer more confidence to the fan base, especially after losing Kerry Hyder and Brandon Copeland to injury last week.

Today’s game also marks a special notch in Pride of Detroit’s belt. For the first time ever, we have been given gameday credentials. Ryan Mathews is in the press booth representing the site today. You can follow him @Ryan_POD for his perspective on the game.

As always, share your own thoughts and observations in the comment section below.
