Football season is finally here. The NFL preseason kicks off Thursday night with a real life football game* between the Arizona Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys for the annual Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio.
Last year, the game was embarrassingly cancelled after the groundskeepers used the wrong kind of paint on artificial turn, then when they tried to heat the paint to make it dry quicker, they melted the protective layer of rubber on the turf.
This year promises to be... a little better. Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians has already said he won’t be playing any starters in the game. The Cowboys haven’t commented on the situation.
Regardless, football is back, even if it’s just preseason football. So today’s Question of the Day is:
Will you be watching the Hall of Fame game on Thursday night?
My answer: Absolutely, yes. The NFL has its dirty little claws thoroughly dug into me, and even a boring preseason game seems enthralling to my football-deprived soul. I have zero doubt that I’ll be completely bored by the third quarter and will likely regret my life decisions at that point, but I can’t stop myself.
Plus, there’s always Kellen Moore to watch!
Your turn.
