Now that most of the significant preseason injuries and suspensions have been doled out, it’s officially fantasy football season.
While it’s not my personal favorite time of the year, I know a lot of you all obsess over fantasy, and who am I to judge? I have my own vices and I’m sure at least one of them is at least as self-destructive as fantasy football.
Plus, we have a tradition to upkeep. Every year we hold an “official” Pride of Detroit fantasy league, and this year is no different. Our own Jerry Mallory will be acting commissioner of the league, so you’ll get a chance to take down the face of the Pride of Detroit’s YouTube channel and occasional guest on the PODcast.
Unfortunately, not everyone that wants to join will be able to. But we aren’t going to be doing first-come, first-served either. Instead, if you’d like to sign up for the league, comment below with your interest in the league. Priority will be given based on a mixture of tenure and how active you are on Pride of Detroit.
Here are the basics you need to know about the league:
- It will be a 14-team league—therefore there will be 13 spots available
- The league will be hosted by Yahoo!
- The draft will occur on Monday, September 4 at 7:30 p.m. ET
- Sign up for the league must be received by the end of Friday, September 1.
So if you’re interested, comment below, and make sure the email address you used to sign up for Pride of Detroit is up to date. Invitations to the league will be sent on Saturday morning.
If you aren’t selected to the official Pride of Detroit league, feel welcome to start your own league and get people to join in our Fanposts section.
