The Detroit Lions close out the 2017 preseason with their annual game against the Buffalo Bills. Ever since 2002, the Lions have traditionally ended the exhibition season with a game against the Bills.
This year is no different, and much like every year, the final preseason game has a lot riding on it for the Lions. The Lions have already released a handful of players, including Cyrus Kouandjio, Tim Wright and Keshawn Martin. That has paved the way and tightened the competition at those positions and paved ways for certain players to make the roster.
But a lot has yet to be decided and Thursday night could be the determining factor for many of these players. So while the final score of this game doesn’t matter much, there is plenty to watch on Thursday night.
