After taking a single day of rest, the Detroit Lions are back out there preparing for the 2017 season. For the first time, the Lions will take the practice field in a morning session. Things kick off at 9 a.m. ET.
After having sparse crowds through their first four sessions, it’ll be interesting to see how many Lions fans show up Friday morning. Obviously, it’s a tough time for most working adults to have free, but with the announcement that Chad Johnson will attend practice, you have to wonder if that will increase attendance, even if it’s just by a little.
Regardless of the date and time, Pride Of Detroit will be well represented at practice on Friday. Kent Lee Platte (@mathbomb), Alex Reno (@alex_reno) and Ryan Mathews (@Ryan_POD) are all planning on attending Friday’s session, provided that the rain stays away. Unfortunately if there is an excess of rain, the Lions will move their indoors, where the public is not allowed to see.
So let’s hope the rain stays away and we can enjoy live news from the fifth practice of the season. Follow below for updates, or check out our Training Camp Twitter feed here.
