Detroit Lions training camp Day 8 live updates, open thread

It’s officially game week! The Detroit Lions are back in Allen Park for Week 2 of training camp practices, and this week they have a game to prepare for. In six days, Detroit will open up their preseason with a trip to Indianapolis to face the Colts.

Later in the week, the Lions will have a couplet of joint practices with the Colts, but for now, they’ll continue to work out the kinks on their own.

Monday marks the team’s final open practice to the public, and we’re making sure we have a full set of reporters there on site. For the first time this year, Mike Payton (@POD_Payton) will be working on the Lions beat alongside reporters. Meanwhile, Alex Reno (@alex_reno) and Kent Lee Platte (@mathbomb) will be taking their comfortable positions amongst the crowd.
