On Tuesday, we asked Pride of Detroit readers which Detroit Lions player excited them the most after one week of training camp practices. Several rookies, like receiver Kenny Golladay and linebacker Jarrad Davis garnered votes in the comment section. Others opted for the return of Ameer Abdullah or the always exciting Matthew Stafford.
But now it’s time to view the other side of the coin. Not everyone has impressed in camp so far. Many have looked downright bad, while others have simply left us wanting more.
So today’s Question of the Day is:
Which Lions player would you like to see more out of during the rest of the preseason?
My answer: Obviously, everyone wants to see more out of left tackles Greg Robinson and Cyrus Kouandjio. That’s too easy, so I’ll give a second/third answer.
I would really like to see Akeem Spence have a big week in camp and an impressive performance in this week’s preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts. Spence has been relatively quiet all camp, but the Lions may be relying on him as the team’s main source of a pass rush from the interior defensive line.
The Lions spent a lot of money on Spence this offseason (three years, $9 million), so I’d like a little assurance that Bob Quinn made the right move.
Your turn.
