The Pride of Detroit staff continues to like the Lions’ chances this week.

The Detroit Lions surprised a lot of people in Week 1. Around 57 percent of experts picked the Cardinals to defeat the Lions in the season opener, causing Detroit to jump quite a bit in Week 2 power rankings.

However, the wonderful staff here at Pride of Detroit wasn’t all that surprised by the outcome. Seven of our nine pickers chose the Lions to win, leaving everyone but myself and Ryan Mathews with a 1-0 record heading into Week 2.

This week, there a similar consensus surrounding the Lions. Again, seven of us are picking the Lions to beat the Giants. Here’s a look at our picks.

Kyle Yost (1-0): 24-20 Giants
Mike Payton (1-0): 24-10 Lions
Justin Simon (1-0): 27-19 Lions
Andrew Kato (1-0): 16-10 Giants
Alex Reno (1-0): 27-21 Lions
Kent Lee Platte (1-0): 30-13 Lions
Chris Perfett (1-0): 39-16 Lions
Jeremy Reisman (0-1): 20-16 Lions
Ryan Mathews (0-1): 21-13 Lions
Jerry Mallory (0-0): 20-17 Giants

Detroit hasn’t won a road game since Week 13 of the 2016 season, but nearly the entire staff is predicting that streak to end on Monday.

Despite Pride of Detroit’s confidence in the Lions, Detroit enters Monday’s game as a three-point underdog. The line opened up at Giants -5.5, so it appears the national public has a little more faith in the Lions this week, but not enough to move the line to even.
