Sunday Night Football open thread: Packers at Falcons

Go Falcons!

NFL: Super Bowl LI-NFL Experience Dan Powers-USA TODAY Sports

It’s been a pretty good day for a Sunday without Detroit Lions football.

The Chicago Bears got creamed. The Minnesota Vikings were humbled. Unless something crazy happens, the Dallas Cowboys are going to lose, too.

But there’s one more thing that can happen that can really put a cherry on the top of this Sunday: A Green Bay Packers loss.

They are going to have their work cut out from them. The NFC North returning champions will be facing off against the returning NFC conference champions. On top of that, they’ll be playing in the Falcons’ new, shiny stadium.

The game is a rematch of 2016 NFC Championship game, in which the Falcons completely embarrassed Green Bay, blowing them out 44-21. In that game, Matt Ryan completed 27 of 38 passes for 392 yards and four touchdowns. Aaron Rodgers did okay, too, compiling 287 passing yards for three touchdowns and an interception.

So tune in tonight as Rodgers and Ryan face off again for a huge NFC matchup in Week 2.

Here is how to watch tonight’s game:
