Odell Beckham Jr. will make his 2017 debut on Monday night, as he is listed as ACTIVE for tonight’s game against the Detroit Lions. Beckham was limited in practice all week, so it’s unlikely he will be at 100 percent, but he could still be the shot in the arm the Giants offense desperately needs.
Additionally, after being downgraded to questionable on Sunday, Janoris Jenkins—the Giants’ No. 1 cornerback—is INACTIVE for “Monday Night Football.” Jenkins has been dealing with nagging injuries to his ankle and hand and did not heal quick enough to play in Monday’s game.
Jenkins isn’t the only defensive starter the Giants will be missing. Middle linebacker B.J. Goodson is out with a shin injury. Goodson played a huge part in the Giants’ season opener, tallying 18 tackles in his first career start against the Cowboys. Undrafted rookie Calvin Munson is expected to start in his place.
For the Detroit Lions, all of their inactives are essentially healthy scratches. Among the notable names are Zach Zenner and second-round pick Teez Tabor, who were both inactive last week, too.
