Lions-Giants first half open thread

Join us for Monday Night Football!

NFL: Detroit Lions at New York Giants Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

The Detroit Lions are back on primetime television and have quite the test in front of them. The 0-1 New York Giants handled the Lions last year at home, and are looking to get back on track after a loss on opening weekend to the Dallas Cowboys.

After a week of waiting, we finally know that Odell Beckham Jr. is ACTIVE and will play against the Lions. However, they will be without their No. 1 cornerback Janoris Jenkins, opening up an opportunity for the Lions’ high-octane pass offense.

The Lions haven’t started the season 2-0 since 2011 and have dropped five straight Week 2 contests.

But it’s a whole different season with a whole different roster. Anything can happen on any given Sunday and especially during “Monday Night Football.”

So enjoy the game with us tonight, and let’s hope for a big road win for the Lions. If Detroit can pull it off, they’ll be in first place by their lonesome in the NFC North.
