The Detroit Lions face their biggest test of the year on Sunday, hosting the Atlanta Falcons for an intense Week 3 battle between two undefeated teams. Both squads are coming off of statement wins on national television, but the Falcons are certainly coming in with more hype.
The returning NFC champs are widely regarded as a top five team in the league right now, with some believing they’re the No. 1 team.
So with that daunting challenge ahead of the Lions, how many members of the Pride of Detroit staff are still picking them to win on Sunday? Exactly half.
Here’s a look at our picks.
Mike Payton (2-0): 35-28 Lions
Justin Simon (2-0): 31-28 Lions
Alex Reno (2-0): 27-24 Falcons
Kent Lee Platte (2-0): 27-14 Lions
Chris Perfett (2-0): 15-5 Falcons
Kyle Yost (1-1): 28-3 Falcons
Andrew Kato (1-1): 24-23 Lions
Jeremy Reisman (1-1): 29-24 Falcons
Ryan Mathews (1-1): 28-24 Falcons
Jerry Mallory (0-1): 27-23 Lions
So far, five staffers have correctly picked the Lions to win both games to open the season. However, among those five, only three are picking Detroit to remain undefeated.
Now it’s your turn to pick. Vote in the poll below and be sure to give your score predictions in the comment section below. The closest prediction to the actual score will win a shoutout in next week’s On Paper column.
