Shortly after Friday’s practice, unfortunate news came, as the Detroit Lions announced that linebacker Jarrad Davis (concussion) and safety Tavon Wilson (shoulder), both of whom had missed every practice this week, would both miss Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Travis Swanson, who was listed as “Questionable” on the injury report, will be INACTIVE for Sunday’s matchup. Swanson did not practice at all this week, so it was unlikely that he was going to be ready to go on Sunday. They will also be without Joe Dahl. Stepping in for Swanson will be Graham Glasgow at center, and Zac Kerin, who was just claimed off waivers by the Lions will man the left guard spot while Glasgow shifts over.
With Dwayne Washington also listed as inactive, that means Zach Zenner will suit up for the first time with the Lions at running back.
The Falcons will be without star edge rusher, Vic Beasley, who will be out at least a month, reportedly, dealing with a hamstring issue. Takkarist McKinley—a talented pass rusher in his own right—is likely to replace Beasley on the edge.
