Sunday Night Football open thread: Oakland vs. Washington

NFL: Oakland Raiders at Washington Redskins Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

It’s been an exhausting day. Between team statements, NFL protests and another controversial ending to add to the list of Detroit Lions woes, I’m ready for a nap.

But for some of you football addicts the night is not over yet. There is one more game to be played on Sunday night and it may actually be a good one, too.

The 2-0 Oakland Raiders face off against a Washington team that is 1-1, but could contend for a spot in the NFC playoffs.

Heading the matchup are two quarterbacks that are considered amongst the next generation of great passer: Derek Carr and Kirk Cousins. Carr just got paid this offseason, while Cousins is looking to let his play do the talking before cashing in next season.

The game starts at 8:30 p.m. ET. Here’s how you can watch:
