Both T.J. Lang and Ezekiel Ansah returned to Lions practice on Thursday. Lang was held out of practice Wednesday with a new fibula injury. Obviously, there was significant concern since it was a bone injury, but it appears it is not too serious, because Lang was a full participant on Thursday.
Ansah returns after taking a day of rest because of a knee injury that has been bothering him since the beginning of training camp. At this point, there’s no reason to expect Ansah to sit.
However, receiver Kenny Golladay was absent from practice. Wednesday, he was limited with a hamstring issue, but seems to be trending in the wrong direction. Golladay played in 64 percent of snaps during Sunday’s game with the Falcons. If he can’t go, TJ Jones will likely take his place as the team’s No. 3 receiver. Jones had three catches for 63 yards last week.
A few Lions players who were limited on Wednesday move to full participant on Thursday. Travis Swanson, Glover Quin, Anthony Zettel and Jamal Agnew practiced fully, suggesting they should be good to go against the Vikings. Jarrad Davis, however, remained limited.
For the Vikings, Sam Bradford once again was sidelined during Thursday’s practice. Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer confirmed that Bradford is out this week.
Sam Bradford is out for Sunday, Mike Zimmer said.
