Take a look at our overwhelmingly optimistic picks for Sunday’s game.

Last week’s heartbreaking loss to the Falcons have left Detroit Lions fans in a weird place. Some people believe that Atlanta exposed a few glaring weaknesses among the Lions’ defense and even a bit on their offense.

Others look at Detroit’s performance and point out that despite their issues, they managed to hang with one of the biggest NFC competitors and came within inches of victory. For some, this proved that Detroit finally belongs in the conversation of NFC contender.

That certainly seems to be the overwhelming opinion of the Pride of Detroit staff, as eight of 10 staffers are taking the Lions to beat their NFC North foe, the MInnesota Vikings, on the road this week. Take a look at our picks:

Chris Perfett (3-0): 42-41 Lions
Alex Reno (3-0): 27-13 Lions
Mike Payton (2-1): 35-24 Lions
Justin Simon (2-1): 21-20 Lions
Kent Lee Platte (2-1): 23-10 Lions
Kyle Yost (2-1): 23-21 Vikings
Jeremy Reisman (2-1): 23-19 Vikings
Ryan Mathews (2-1): 27-14 Lions
Andrew Kato (1-2): 27-17 Lions
Jerry Mallory (0-2): 24-20 Lions

Now it’s your time to share your picks with us. If you get closest to the actual final score, you’ll be rewarded during next week’s On Paper preview column.
