WATCH: Lions-Vikings Week 4 matchup on Madden NFL 18

New, comment

Detroit picked up a victory last week to make them 1-2 in Madden simulations, but they maintained their consistency of predicting the opposite of what would take place during the real thing.

Saturday morning Madden simulations: For those of you who don’t care much about college athletics because they’re as crooked as anything else going on in the world today.

That slogan is trademark pending, but I think it still has some kinks to work out.

Now’s the time to remind us of Sundays, a beautiful, almost mythical time where football takes place and nothing else matters. Here at Pride of Detroit, we try to make the whole weekend feel like Sunday, so let’s get your day started off right with a good ole Madden simulation.

This week’s Madden simulation serves up the Lions first NFC North opponent, the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are dealing with Sam Bradford’s knee—Rams and Eagles fans are nodding their head in understanding how that goes—and last week, it was Case Keenum to the rescue. (The heads of Rams fans are now exploding).

Minnesota’s calling card has been their defense for the past few years, a unit that might not necessarily have one particular strength that ranks among the best in the league, but together is a really, really good unit. Danielle Hunter (83), Everson Griffen (88) and Linval Joseph (88) form a stout and disruptive front line of their defense. Anthony Barr (80) and Eric Kendricks (80) help comprise a respectable and effective linebacking unit, while their secondary has some big time difference makers in Xavier Rhodes (87) and Harrison Smith (97).

Be sure to jump over to our live stream starting at 11:30 a.m. ET to keep up with the conversation and join a bunch of us who love to watch Madden be Madden. Also, these things are finally available On Demand through Twitch, so if you can’t make the live broadcast, no biggie, you have 14 days to go back and check out all the action you missed out on.

Once the clock strikes 11:30, the stream will begin below.

It’s Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings. This time, it’s (not) for real.
