Join Pride of Detroit’s pick’em and survivor leagues

Chances are good that if you are reading this, you missed out on our “official” Pride of Detroit fantasy football league. Sadly, there was only room for a dozen of you.

But worry not, fellow Pride of Detroiter. There are other fantasy games to be played this year. Like always, we have our annual Pro Pick’em league and our Survivor leagues. Here’s how they work.

For our Pick’em League, players will select winners in every game of every week of the NFL season—including the playoffs. But since picking winners isn’t all that exciting, we pick against the Vegas spread. So if the Lions are favored by three points (Lions -3), you have to decide whether you think the Lions will win by more than three points or if the opponent will come within two points (or win the game themselves).

Survivor Football is very simple: Each week you pick one team you are certain is going to win. If they win, you’re still alive. If they lose, you’re out for the season. But here’s the catch: You have to use a different team every week and can never use the same team twice.

We will be conducting each league through Yahoo! There is limited space for both leagues, and it is first-come, first-served.

To join the league, go to Yahoo Fantasy Sports, then click on the corresponding league you want to join (“Survival Football” or “Pro Pick’em”). Once there, click “Join league” and here is the information you’ll enter:
