Lions-Cardinals injury report: Ezekiel Ansah, Kenny Golladay questionable for Sunday

The Lions have two players questionable for Sunday, but their outlook is good.

The Detroit Lions released their final injury report of the week and it’s pretty much exactly as you’d expect. The three players that were limited in practice all week—defensive end Ezekiel Ansah, wide receiver Kenny Golladay and tackle Corey Robinson—were all listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.

It’s worth pointing out that the league no longer has a “probable” designation on injury reports, so there may be more than a 50 percent chance that those players are active on game day.

The biggest potential loss for the Lions would be Ansah, but there doesn’t appear to be any real concern that he’ll miss the season opener. Defensive coordinator Teryl Austin expects Ansah to be ready by Sunday. “He’s moving fine,” Austin said earlier in the week.

In addition to those three players, Zach Zenner practiced in full again on Friday despite a back injury that had him limited earlier in the week. Haloti Ngata and T.J. Lang sat out of practice Friday, but it was a rest day, as their absence was marked as “not injury related” by the team.

For the Cardinals, linebacker Deone Bucannon will not play, as expected. He suffered a setback with an ankle injury earlier in the week.

The big question is surrounding defensive lineman, and former first-round pick, Robert Nkemdiche. He missed the first practice of the week, but was limited both Thursday and Friday. He is listed as questionable for Sunday. Guard Mike Iupati was limited for the third straight day and is also listed as questionable.
