Week 1 NFL picks: Staff predictions for Lions-Cardinals

Our weekly staff predictions are back. Every week, all nine of our staff will be predicting the scores of each Detroit Lions game.

In an attempt to further humiliate ourselves, we’ll be keeping track of our record and ranking each other accordingly. Here are our picks for the Lions’ Week 1 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

Kyle Yost: 21-18 Lions
Mike Payton: 24-17 Lions
Ryan Mathews: 28-24 Cardinals
Justin Simon: 20-17 Lions
Andrew Kato: 23-20 Lions
Alex Reno: 34-28 Lions
Kent Lee Platte: 17-13 Lions
Chris Perfett: 8-4 Lions

As you can see, nearly the entire staff is sticking with the Lions in Week 1. Most, too, are predicting a relatively low-scoring game. The over/under for this game is set at 48, and all but two staffers have scores taking the under.
