Lions notes: Detroit reportedly loses another defensive coach to the Bengals

Teryl Austin is bringing some reinforcements with him.

  • The Detroit Lions already lost defensive coordinator Teryl Austin to the Cincinnati Bengals. It now appears he’ll be taking another Lions coach with him (this has yet to be confirmed by the team):

  • Speaking of Patricia, it appears Giants fans are just as enthusiastic about grabbing the Patriots defensive coordinator as Lions fans are:

  • Marvin Jones Jr. made his money with the deep ball this year:

  • Matthew Stafford joined Mitch Albom on Wednesday to talk about several things, including the Lions’ coaching search. Though Stafford remained pretty quiet about the situation, he did reiterate that he is not part of the searching process.
