AFC Divisional Round open thread: Tennessee Titans vs. New England Patriots

Close out your Saturday with a little AFC playoffs.

The Philadelphia Eagles are the first team to qualify for the conference championship round after a tight win over the Atlanta Falcons.

Now it’s time for the AFC to crown their first team. The New England Patriots, fresh off a week of rest, host the huge underdogs, the Tennessee Titans.

The Titans are coming off an emotional comeback win over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card round. Marcus Mariota did everything short of playing defense to will his team to victory, throwing and catching passes.

But their average performance last week won’t be enough to compete with the Patriots this week.

That being said, Detroit Lions fans should absolutely be rooting for the upset. Even if you don’t want Matt Patricia as the team’s next head coach, with the Patriots out of the playoffs, the Lions head coaching search will almost certainly come to a quicker close, and that’s something we all want.

So, let’s go Titans!
