NFC Wildcard Sunday open thread: Panthers at Saints

Close out Wild Card weekend with us..

NFL: Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints Daily Advertiser-USA TODAY Sports

The wildcard games down. One to go. So far the Titans, Falcons and Jaguars have survived, but the NFL may have saved the best for last.

The New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers face off in a rare divisional matchup in the opening round. Whoever comes out victorious will join the Falcons as the second NFC South representative in the divisional round of the playoffs.

The Saints are the heavy favorite, having swept the Panthers during the regular season. In their first matchup, New Orleans blew out Carolina 34-13. But just about a month ago, the Panthers played them a little closer, dropping the game 31-21.

Obviously Cam Newton and the Panthers will have to give a better effort Sunday afternoon in New Orleans. Winner gets a trip to Minnesota.

Here’s how to watch.

No. 4 New Orleans Saints vs. No. 5 Carolina Panthers

Location: Mercedes-Benz Superdome — New Orleans, LA
